Study of the mechanisms of pheromonal biosynthesis and its connection to the metabolism of lipids, understanding the perception of pheromones and other olfactory active compounds in selected insect models. Application of the advanced instrumental analytical techniques for identification of insect infochemicals and exact description of chemical information systems of important insect species. Development of new methods for determining of physico-chemical properties of infochemicals by gas chromatography.
